'Human error' hits Google search

Well, Google's mishap did (finally) hit the news:

Just goes to show that history is always in the making .. and
sometimes you witness it .. and I'm sure that an awful lot of people
witnessed it yesterday.

As for further analysis, it's surprising that it happened at all
(refer to the BBC news article). Google states "We will carefully
investigate this incident and put more robust file checks in place to
prevent it from happening again". I wonder what the cost was / will be
of this mishap .. if the world's search engine becomes less reliable,
it's unlikely to remain the world's search engine ..

Gegroet, on a sunny but cold day. Paul.
